Harvest Ridge Luxury Orchard Estate is located in the South East Kelowna district of the City of Kelowna on the south side of KLO Road bordering the world class Harvest Golf Club to the east. The southeast Kelowna district borders the Central Okanagan Regional District to the south and east, the Belgo/Black Mountain District to the east, the Rutland District to the north east, the central city and south Pandosy/KLO district to the northwest, and the Crawford/Mission district to the southwest.

The South East Kelowna neighbourhood is predominantly a rural agricultural community with limited commercial, institutional, recreational and public open space development. It is an area of orchards, small holdings, hobby farms and scattered residential estates situated within the boundaries of the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR). Approximately 71% of the neighborhood is situated within the ALR, representing approximately 29% of the City of Kelowna land base, and is the most significant tree fruit area in the Okanagan. Orchard plantings tend to occupy the upper benches and hillsides to take advantage of air drainage and better soils since the lower flat land areas tend to be heavy alkali clays with poor drainage and a tendency to frosty conditions. The area has been in transition as smaller orchards have been purchased and developed into executive country residences.

Significant single family residential development with the South East Kelowna district is concentrated in the Hall Road and Gallagher's Golf Course areas. The Hall Road residential subdivision was developed between 1975 and 1990 and includes average to good quality single family residential, estate residential (small to mid-size improved acreage holdings), occasional agricultural use holdings, provincial/regional and neighbourhood parks, and institutional use.

The South East Kelowna Irrigation District provides domestic and irrigation water supply to the neighbourhood while sanitary sewage disposal is by way of on site septic systems. Other utilities provided include Terasen Gas and Fortis (hydro-electric).

Lot 2, Plan 33463 comprises 35.09 acres including 1,004 feet of KLO frontage to the north. The semi rectangular shaped property includes west and east lot boundaries measuring 1,469 and 1,402 feet, respectively. The south property line measures 1,241 feet. The parcel is generally level to gently sloping with steeper terrain along KLO Road and the west lot boundary.

The property is serviced with overhead electrical and telecommunications and domestic and irrigation water is provided by the southeast Kelowna Irrigation District. The sewage disposal is by way of septic tank and field systems.

Harvest Ridge luxury orchard estates includes 20.22 acres planted to apples and cherries. Muscatel green/wine grapes are planted along the south and east perimeter of the property. The irrigation for the orchard is micro sprinklers operated by electric valves, with several valves in each block. There are a total of 47 valves. The 2014 SEKID allotment was 25,726,655 US gallons.
