There is a major new development coming in 2014. It will stretch the entire length of Clement Avenue between Ethel and Richter St. URBAN SQUARE will have a brewery, year-round farmers market and two new office buildings on the three hectare BC Tree Fruits cold storage property.
The brewery will be called Starkhund Brewery, owned and operated by a family that recently moved from Edmonton to Kelowna. The former apple warehouse will be renovated and enhanced with new architectural flourishes to house the farmers market and the final phase involves the two 4 and 5 storey office buildings with 9200 square metres of premium office and retail space.
Construction on the proposed 5,388-square-metre brewery will begin in April and be completed by 2014.
