Snowboarding gold-medalist Ross Rebagliati reaches out to seriously ill children and their families

Vancouver, BC – In support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Olympic gold-medalist Ross Rebagliati will be attending the 4th Annual Sparkle Soiree.

The Sparkle Soiree takes place on Saturday, November 15th at Vancouver ’s hottest boutique-style auto showroom, Trunk Gallery/Auto One.

Ross and his wife Alexandra, along with other guests, will be entertained throughout the evening with the sensational sounds of local jazz favourite Lesismore, and the latest fashions from JC Studio and Dunhill London at a fabulous fashion show hosted by Vladimir Markovich of BC Fashion Week.

The event also features a late-night DJ and a silent auction. One of the most sought-after items available for bidding will be an afternoon on the slopes with Ross himself. The lucky winner will spend time cruising around Whistler, learning the tricks of the trade from Canada ’s first snowboarding gold medalist.

“I’m very excited about this event. Starlight is an extremely worthwhile organization and I am thrilled to be in a position where I can help,” said Ross. “Giving back to my community has always been a top priority for me. The Starlight Foundation helps thousands of sick children each month. I am honored to be a part of this organization.”

Starlight Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families.  Through the granting of wishes and imaginative programs that educate, uplift spirits and foster a sense of community, Starlight helps alleviate the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness. While others search for cures and help prevent and heal disease, Starlight focuses on healing children’s spirits and, in BC, they touch the lives of seriously ill children and their families over 44,724 times per year!
